Specific Skills

Determine layout requirements; Cut openings for pipes in walls, ceilings or floors; Select type and size of pipe; Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size; Weld, braze, cement or solder pipes and joints; Test system for leaks; Remove and replace defective components; Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping and sprinkling systems; Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment; Erect scaffolding, ladders, lifts and other temporary work platforms; Rig material and equipment; Operate power lifts; Start up and reactivate systems; Troubleshoot systems
