    SPINCO IP Holdings Inc., a Vancouver-based spin studio, is expanding with two new locations in Toronto and another location scheduled to open this spring in Oakville
    Lake of Bays Brewing Company began work on a new 4,000-sq.-ft. brewery-style pub in Huntsville
    The Government of Canada is investing $3.5M toward the construction of an elevated water reservoir in Whitefish River First Nation. Construction will begin immediately and is scheduled to be completed in October.
    ASICS, a Japanese athletic fashion and footwear brand, will open a flagship store in Toronto this spring
    Kasper Transportation will operate a new route linking Thunder Bay, Atikokan, Fort Frances and Kenora beginning January 18
    The Government of Ontario will invest approximately $1.1M to establish a new child care centre at Schumacher Public School in Timmins. Renovations are expected to begin in spring and be completed by January 2019.

    The Hydropothecary Corporation, a medical marijuana producer, is building an $80M greenhouse, which will create 200 jobs and add around 100 construction jobs while it's being built
    NOVA Chemicals Corporation is investing over $2B, with help from the Provincial Government, towards two new facilities in Sarnia-Lambton and expects to create 145 jobs by 2021
    Drive Test expects to hire approximately 90 new employees across 13 high-demand locations. Two new DriveTest Centre locations are also scheduled to open in Mississauga in 2018 and Markham in 2019

    Bill Gosling Outsourcing, a sales call centre in London, has expanded their downtown office and will hire 200 workers over the course of the next year
    Build Toronto Inc. officially opened the Shops at Wilson Station in November and is expected to create about 130 retail jobs
    The Factory Indoor Adventure Park, in the London¿s repurposed Kellogg cereal plant, is opening in early 2018 and will create 80 new positions
    Lions Demolition began work on what will be a 156-unit Canvas Condominium project in Toronto. The developer, Marlin Spring, hopes to have the project completed by summer 2019.

    The District School Board Ontario North East anticipates having completed $18M+ in capital improvements at its schools by August 2018
    The Region of Peel will hire 22 paramedics, 37 police officers, 10 call dispatchers and five prison escort officers in 2018
    Construction on Carleton University's new $48M Sprott School of Business building will begin in 2018, with expected completion in 2020

    Clear Blue Technologies Inc., a developer of smart grid technology for off-grid systems, will receive $400K from the Government of Canada towards a $1.2M expansion of its operations in Toronto, creating up to 33 jobs
    Construction for a new Marriott International Inc. hotel broke ground on November 20 in Petawawa. The TownPlace Suites by Marriott is expected to be completed by spring of 2019, and create 30 new full-time and part-time positions.
    The Government of Ontario is investing $1.4M in Hain Celestial Canada, a food manufacturer, to support a new manufacturing plant in Quinte West. The plant is expected to be completed by June 2020 and will create 26 new jobs.

    Buchanan Forest Products Ltd. is preparing to reopen the Nakina sawmill in Greenstone, creating about 50 to 80 jobs. The company is hiring for a variety of positions including labourers, operators and tradespeople.
    HP Polymers Ltd., a speciality polymer and resin manufacturer located near Guelph, is expanding to increase production capacity creating five new jobs
    Health Sciences North recruited 19 physicians to Sudbury in 2017
    The Alexandra Marine and General Hospital recruited six new physicians to Goderich
    SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions has opened an ozone production facility at the Ancaster Business Park
    Two manufacturing plants in Colborne, Canada Colours and Chemicals Ltd. and Storrack Ltd. are expanding their operations

    Bridgit, a company that produces mobile platforms for construction managers, is hiring at their Kitchener office to support new product development
    Artisan Vehicle Systems Inc., a manufacturer of battery-operated underground mining vehicles, is hiring in Kirkland Lake with plans to build a permanent facility within two years
    Syl's Neighbourhood Kitchen restaurant expects to hire between 25 and 30 employees in anticipation of a December opening in North Bay
    Sargent & Lundy LLC, a project management and engineering consulting firm, is opening a second office location in Kincardine
    The Barracks Inn has opened in Ancaster, a suburb of Hamilton
    Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation has opened a clinic in Orillia
    Chameleon Cafe and Lounge has opened in Fort Erie
    The De Beers Group will close its Victor diamond mine west of Attawapiskat in early 2019. The mine currently has about 350 employees and 150 contractors. Up to 80 future jobs may arise to safely close the mine.

    Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie will add 36 transitional beds, which will require adding 70 new staff, including full and part-time nurses, personal care assistants and allied health professionals
    Whitesand First Nation, near Thunder Bay, will receive $3.76M from the federal and provincial governments to develop a cogeneration power plant and wood pellet manufacturing facility, creating 64 jobs and an additional 60 seasonal positions
    The Government of Ontario is partnering with FPH Group Inc., TransForm Automotive Canada Ltd., Forest City Models and Patterns Ltd. and Amino North America Corp., located in London, creating 47 new jobs and retaining 207
    SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. opened an office in Port Elgin in anticipation of the Bruce Power refurbishment project scheduled to begin in 2020. The location is expected to employ around 35 people.
    The Bluewater District School Board hired 22 elementary school teachers and four early childhood educators owing to an increase in enrollment
    Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board hired an extra 21 teachers, due to higher than expected enrolment in elementary schools
    The Government of Ontario is investing $140M to provide 2000 more hospital beds and enhance home care services, including the reopening and repurposing of the University Health Network's Hillcrest site and Humber River Hospital's Finch site in Toronto
    The Government of Ontario is building 100 new EarlyON childcare centres across the province over the next three years. The $140M annual investment will require hundreds of new positions to be filled.
    The Cheesecake Factory Inc. is opening its first Canadian restaurant with a new 10,400-sq.-ft. location in Toronto's Yorkdale mall
    Birnam Excavating Ltd. secured a $3.2M contract from the Town of Goderich towards the revitalization of Goderich Agricultural Park
    The Wildpine retirement residence held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new location in Stittsville County, expected to open in fall 2018
    Construction on St. Patrick's Catholic Church parish hall addition in Lennox and Addington County is underway and is expected to be completed by May 2018
