Program description:

Funded in whole or part through the Canada-PEI Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) and/or the Labour Market Agreement (LMA). To be eligible to participate in LMDA portion, you must be unemployed and legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or permanent resident); AND have established an Employment Insurance (EI) claim, OR have had an EI claim that ended in the past three years, OR have received maternity or parental benefits under an EI claim that started in the past five years and have left the labour force to care for one or more newborn or adopted children, and are now seeking to re-enter the work force; AND have a Return to Work Action Plan that identifies (a) lack of marketable skills as an employment barrier and (b) the need for new or additional occupational skills in order to find employment. To be eligible to participate in the LMA portion, you must be unemployed; non-EI eligible; a member of one of the LMA priority groups; recent post-secondary graduate and out of school 6 months to 5 years OR an individual experiencing the effects of the economic downturn OR an individual who is low skilled.
