Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate; Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate; First Aid Certificate; BST1 and BST2 course certificate; Watchkeeping Mate Certificate with Command Endorsement; Radio Operator Licence; Marine Emergency Duty (MED) Training Program; Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) Certified; Transport Canada Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers


5 years or more

Specific Skills
Report and document investigations and conclusions/recommendations; Provide emergency response when required; Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained; Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards; Control, steer and navigate a vessel in various waterways; Co-ordinate and schedule activities
