College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years

Specific Skills
Oversee preparation of site for species cultivation; Monitor environment and maintain optimum conditions; Manage fish hatchery, fish farm or other aquatic farm; Maintain financial records; Identify diseases or parasites and apply medicinal substances to control and prevent diseases; Establish marketing programs; Determine food requirements and structure feeding regimes; Collect and record data; Co-ordinate selection and maintenance of brood stock; Operate and maintain harvesting and cultivating equipment; Manage and train aquaculture and fish hatchery support workers and supervise technicians and technologists; Establish inventory and quality control methods
Additional Skills
Train and supervise staff; Scuba dive to inspect sea farm operations
