Provide technical and professional advisory services, project management advice, recommendations, problem-solving regarding the planning, design, consultation with security, construction, renovation, expansion and maintenance of facilities. Complete feasibility studies, needs analysis, functional planning, and building condition reports. Mediate the resolution of conflicts between project stakeholder groups. Is part of inspection team, and monitors building systems. Ensure all building systems and equipment are thoroughly tested and maintained to ensure efficient operation and performance. Ensure facility related and construction related legislated requirements are satisfied, e.g. Codes, Standards etc. Supervise the enforcement of all code requirements related to environmental protection, handicapped accessibility, and health and safety. Review, plan, organize, control and implement approved annual maintenance, renovation and construction projects. Review facility designs proposed. Make expert recommendations to senior management on capital planning, budget preparation and control, and the identification of short and long term needs. Provide monthly status and progress reports. Prepare submissions and briefing notes for approval of initiatives.Provide emergency response to facilities when emergency situations arise. Provide technical advice/direction in troubleshooting facility related maintenance issues and action plans. Monitor computer controlled systems
