Work will take place in a federal government office in downtown Winnipeg, as well as in a variety of special event locations and venues such as the Assiniboine Park Zoo. Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada's outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada. The primary objective of Public Outreach and Education is to connect people to Parks Canada and Riding Mountain National Park through engaging educational programs. Members of the Outreach Team are responsible for:- Learning, developing and delivering programs to a variety of audiences, particularly families with young children, young adults, and people from diverse backgrounds.- Helping to organize, set up, run, and report on activities at events and high traffic locations - Working with Parks Canada partners and stakeholders in a professional manner- Representing the Government of Canada at public events- Working independently and as part of a team Bilingual - imperative- LocationWinnipeg, MB
