Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Additional Skills: Care for pets. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Specific Skills: Provide personal care. Provide companionship. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Launder clothing and household linens. Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder). Administer bedside and personal care. Feed or assist in feeding. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Target Audience: Adults. Elderly. Persons with a disability. Females. Males. Security and Safety: Reference required. Work Site Environment: Non-smoking. Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
