Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Soldering machine. Butt or seam resistance welding machine. Arc welding machine. Spot welding machine. Experience: No experience. Area of Specialization: Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Welding Techniques: Resistance, spot or seam. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG). Work Setting: Residential. Manufacture. Specific Skills: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Interpret welding process specifications. Determine weldability of materials. Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC). Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Type of Materials: Stainless steel. Aluminum alloys. Student status: Full time enrollment.- LocationSurrey, BC
