Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Experience: Experience an asset. Work Setting: Group home. Specific Skills: Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Target Audience: Persons with an intellectual disability. Males. Security and Safety: Driver's validity licence check. Medical exam. Criminal record check. Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence. Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people. Type of Community or Social Service: Education or training. Child welfare. Personal Suitability: Initiative. Effective interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Team player. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Client focus. Judgement.
