Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Power tools. Hand tools. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Estimate costs and materials. Area of Specialization: Start-up and testing. Renovating and restoring. Troubleshooting. Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Specific Skills: Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Construct foundations for machinery. Installing machinery and equipment. Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation). Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
