*Description* Barber Collins security is looking for a part time Security Guard to work every weekend doing various tasks_. _This position deals heavily with scaling trucks, checking trailers temperatures, signing in and out livestock trailers and other responsibilities. *Shifts*\* \*Shifts have a mandatory 2-week rotation Every Saturday and Sunday from 7 am - 3 pm. *Responsibilities: * * Conduct regular walking patrols around the facility/area. * Operate the truck scale with the technology implemented and conduct routine trailer temperature checks. * Perform the tasks required at the facilities gatehouse. * Sign in/out trucks that contain livestock and the reports necessary. * Protect company?s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. * Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. * Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. * Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. * Access control for the facility/area. * Ensuring that the facility?s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. * Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents. *Skills: * * Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. * Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. * Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. * Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. * Surveillance skills and detail orientation. * Integrity and professionalism. * Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. * Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills. *Barber-Collins Security welcomes and encourages qualified applications from people with disabilities.
