<p><strong>Mission Statement:</strong> Homes First Society develops and provides affordable, stable housing and support services to break the cycle of homelessness for people with the fewest housing options.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Locations: 702 Kennedy Rd<br> 2035 Kennedy Rd<br> 5800 Yonge St<br> 101 Placer Court</strong></p><p><strong>Hours of Work:</strong><strong> 5 days a week, 9am to 5pm, flexibility required and one evening per week</strong></p><p><strong>Start Date: ASAP</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: $25.57 per hour (As Per Collective Agreement)<br><br>Benefits include a pension plan and 100% employer paid health & dental benefits.</strong></p><p><strong>Submit Resume to: firstname.lastname@example.org</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Applicants must quote ?CE-M? </strong></p><p></p><p>The position provides supports to shelter residents and the local community by engaging and partnering with neighbours and the local community to build positive relationship and provide programming to the clients that enhances their health and mental health stability, while adhering to the mission statement and policies and procedures of Homes First Society.</p><p></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain an ongoing effort to engage and partner with neighbours and the local community in order to build a deep and long-lasting and strong positive relationship focused on enhancing community well-being and address any emerging issues</li><li>Will actively engage the community by seeking to understand what community well-being means to them</li><li>Develop new and maintain current partnerships with community partners, businesses and stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate community-engaged programs such as harm reduction workshops</li><li>Maintain an ongoing relationship with community partners and stakeholders, and 100% of issues raised to Homes First will be dealt with in a timely manner</li><li>Carry out a number of ongoing weekly and/or monthly client programs and keep accurate statistics of the number of participants at each program</li><li>Work with stakeholders and partners in the community so they feel they have a working relationship with the shelter</li><li>Increase the sense of community within the shelter</li><li>Lead system navigation and partnership development, including main contact for liasing with LHIN?s and other service systems.</li><li>Complete and utilize assessment tools for the clients</li><li>Respond to conflicts, utilizing crisis intervention and prevention when required</li><li>Develop relationships with clients to provide programming that supports their health and housing stabilization</li><li>Design, schedule and participate in programming for the clients</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum three years? experience in related post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Ability to compile data and prepare statistical reports</li><li>Demonstrated ability to utilize case management software systems</li><li>Highly development case management skills</li><li>Experience with conflict resolution and negotiation skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to connect clients to Ontario Works, Office of the Ontario Public Guardian and Trusteeship, Ontario Disability Support Program, and the process for accessing The Housing Stabilization Fund</li><li>Knowledge of mental health and addiction issues and several years? experience working with clients with these issues</li><li>Experience with individuals who lack primary health care and/or struggle to maintain medication regiments.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of services in the community such as life skills programs, CCAC and programs that run ?extreme clean? services</li><li>Knowledge of food access programs</li><li>Expertise in Residential Tenancy Act legislation and proven abilities working within the Landlord and
