Our state-of the-art facility in Long Harbour is the first nickel processing plant in the world to use hydrometallurgy technology to produce Plating Rounds TM from hard rock (sulphide) concentrate, with low carbon footprint compared to traditional smelter technology. We are currently looking for hardworking individuals with a diverse group of backgrounds to join our Long Harbour Operations Team in Long Harbour, NL as Processing Plant Technicians. The shift requirement for this role is a rotating 12-hour shift, for a one (1) year fixed term contract, with strong potential for permanent employment.We have established a team to operate, maintain & improve our nickel processing plant, along with the processes and systems used to run it - a team that places safety at the forefront of all our decisions.In addition to the core work of safely and efficiently operating the plant to produce a quality nickel product, our Technicians take a direct role in continuous improvement for the equipment and processes they use every day. Technicians are also business partners and are involved in the decisions and actions that keep our business balanced and competitive: maximizing reliability; reinforcing adherence to health, safety and environmental standards; carrying out administrative functions; and minimizing costs.Our organizational design is innovative and sees PPTs executing these responsibilities through consensus-based decision-making, evaluating approaches and outcomes based on the needs of the business, the team, and the individual.
