Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) At Irving Consumer Products, we recognize that the key to our success is our people. Irving Consumer Products is a leading manufacturer of premium tissue products - including national brands and private label. We also manufacture private label diapers and training pants for North American retailers. TheAssistant Brand Manager (ABM) will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (1551 Weston Road, M6M 4Y4) and will work directly with the Senior Brand Manager - Royale Bathroom Tissue & Napkins. In this ABM role, you will be responsible for helping to build our branded Paper Business portfolio in Canada and assist in the development and execution of short & long term growth strategies, brand plans, developing sales tools and helping to bring our plans to life for the consumer and shopper with executional excellence. The ABM will work with the SBM in the product commercialization process (project management) from ideation to launch to ensure flawless execution, including packaging and media strategy; utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams; translate key consumer insights into actionable plans and build a solid understanding of the competitive environment. Job Requirements University degree; MBA preferred Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in CPG, with ideally 2-3 years experience at ABM level or similar role Bilingualism is an asset Expertise in Nielsen including working with Nielsen Markettrack, homescan analysis, and ability to translate data and research into meaningful insights and recommendations; previous experience with Nielson and data analysis and reporting is required Strong communication skills Can do attitude Results driven Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Proficiency with PowerPoint Experience working with agencies is an asset The main duties/responsibilities of this role include: Brand Plan Strategies, and Execution Support SBM in development of Bathroom Tissue Brand Plans & Strategy. Provide strategic input pillar programs. Lead executional elements of media and go to market plan. Assist in 360 plans and media creative with agency partners. Ownership of tactical executions including contests, online, digital, CRM and email programs along with integration with overall plan and shopper marketing Execute packaging development plans for innovations & renovations and Masterbrand pillar programs, including managing run outs with cross-functional team Agency & Cross functional: Assist with brand strategy and execution with external agency partners to drive brand strategy and associated tactics, including writing and presenting briefs, and associated trackers for brand plan programs and in-store executions Support SBM for sales initiatives including developing and presenting sales decks and supporting sales materials as needed Liaise with Sales Strategy for sales team support Work closely with Customer Marketing (Shopper Marketing and Ecommerce teams) to ensure integrated commercial plan Work with Supply Chain to align Royale programs and executional timelines Analytics and Insights: Use Nielsen analytics to assist in understanding trends along with deep dives for opportunities and insights Leverage research insights to inform business issues/opportunities Understand retail, and competitive environment to support analytics and strategic business decisions and inform business issues/opportunities What We Offer Irving Consumer Products is proud to offer a competitive sa
