Employer Job Number: GO-00692531 Facility: COMMUNITY/PUBLIC HEALTH EASTJob Description: Reporting to the Primary Health Care Manager, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides a clinical role within the Therapies Department and provides intervention and rehabilitation to adults and/or infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The Speech Language Pathologist conducts speech, language, and swallowing/feeding assessments and treatments according to departmental procedure and established standards of practice within the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Required Qualifications Valid Class 5 driver's licenseMasters Degree in Speech Language PathologyRegistered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)ExperiencePreference will be given to candidates with experience in feeding and swallowing with pediatric and adult acute care populations.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Interpersonal skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamLeadership skillsPositive approach and good listening skills to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently to plan and organize work load demands 112 hours of work in a 3 week rotation.
