We are seeking qualified applications for the position of Business Analyst to join the Business Support and Analytics section under Finance Group at our St. John's, NL base. This is a non-IT role where applicants must have a strong analytical and problem solving skills to ensure a strong contribution to the to in-depth business analysis and report writing required. Duties and Responsibilities: Produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports using various reporting toolsEnhance and seek continuous improvement of reporting on business performanceAssist with documenting and analyzing information and data to determine potential solutions from a business perspectiveAnalysis of the business at a micro level through the aggregation of larger data sets into digestible reportsSupport the documenting of existing process and assist with implementing change requirements as part of a structured changeMaintenance of business intelligence reports and post-report follow upProvide timely responses and solutions on day to day ADHOC business requirementsPartner with business stakeholders to plan, design and create reports and presentations, business models and dashboards to meet their requirementsAssist with user acceptance testing for newly developed data cubes, reports and dashboardsAssist with training end users on newly developed reports and processesProvide Excel training and work with staff to find efficienciesOther duties as assignedQualifications: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, or BusinessMinimum 1-2 years experience in a similar roleWork experience in data-mining with knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel and MS PowerPointKnowledge of SQL, VBA macros would be considered an assetWorking experience with Business Objects, Power BI and Cognos would be considered an assetExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlinesAviation experience would be considered an assetWhat PAL Aerospace offers you:Personal travel privileges with PAL and interline agreements with other airlinesComprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insuranceDefined Contribution Pension PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Tuition Assistance ProgramEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramPAL daysPAL Aerospace is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion whereby individuals are recognized, supported, and respected.
