Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Carpet, floor, and tile worker. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Odours. Dusty. Work setting: On-site customer service. Commercial. Residential. Various locations. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Installation specialization: Ceramic tiles. Hardwood strip flooring. Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Are you willing to relocate for this position?. Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?.
