Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Determine layout and installation procedures. Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding.
