Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Underground. At heights. Confined spaces. Odours. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls. Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Equipment and machinery experience: Airless spray equipment. Brush painting. Conventional spray painting. Multi-ratio pump spraying. Patterned rollers. Roller painting. Testing equipment experience: Moisture gauges. Wet micron gauges. Dry micron gauges. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Coating/application specialization: Aggregate painting. Fire retardants. Multi-color finishes. Urethanes. Paint spraying. Wood finishing specialization: Staining. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
