Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Provide customer service. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Operate forklift. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Operate electric palette jack. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Security and safety: Bondable. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
