The position is paid and ideal for those eager to develop their skills within a professional environment. *Duties* * Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and mechanical knowledge * Perform repairs and maintenance on various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical components * Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks * Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify issues accurately * Carry out equipment repair and welding as required to restore vehicle functionality * Assist with vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards * Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or components safely * Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction * Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to safety protocols *Skills* * Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals * Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively * Experience with assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive parts * Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools * Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to contribute their expertise within a dynamic automotive environment.
