Who knew that a waffle bar would turn out to be one of Vancouver?s happening brunch places? This year, we?re celebrating 10 years of Nero at our Yaletown location on Seymour Street, and we?re looking for a Kitchen Manager to help lead the heart of this location. We?re always looking for ways to improve. Doing the same thing over and over gets boring, not just for our guests, but also for ourselves. We keep challenging ourselves to make things interesting for guests while still maintaining our original spirit: serving the best possible waffles, with a smile. The kitchen is the beating heart of this location. Strong leadership is required to balance and maintain the quality of our food, the energy of our team, and the numbers in the books. This position is for someone with confidence, strong people skills, and strong hands-on kitchen experience. Our kitchen operates on systems that help the flow of guests and food run as smoothly as possible. We have a small kitchen, so efficiency is crucial. Day to day, small adjustments are made to make sure the train keeps running smoothly on the track. The Kitchen Manager is the captain who keeps the team motivated, organized, and dedicated to their tasks. This includes overseeing prep, production, food quality, inventory, ordering, cleanliness, food safety, and team leadership.
