Some flexibility in the total comp plan can be made for a senior level candidate.</h5> <h2><br></h2> <p>We are helping organizations transition to sustainable transportation through innovative electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused EV Charging Specialist to support the design, deployment, and management of EV charging infrastructure projects for our EV manufacturing client in North York.</p> <h2>Position Summary</h2> <p>The EV Charging Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EV charging solutions for commercial, industrial, multi-residential, and public-sector clients. This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, customer engagement, and industry knowledge to deliver successful EV infrastructure initiatives.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li> Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate EV charging solutions based on site capacity, usage patterns, and operational goals. </li> <li> Support the design and deployment of Level 2 and DC Fast Charging infrastructure. </li> <li> Coordinate with electricians, utilities, contractors, property managers, and engineering teams during installations. </li> <li> Conduct site assessments and review electrical capacity, load management, and network connectivity requirements. </li> <li> Assist with permitting, utility applications, incentive programs, and regulatory compliance. </li> <li> Configure and troubleshoot charging hardware and software platforms. </li> <li> Monitor charging station performance and provide technical support to customers. </li> <li> Educate clients on EV charging technologies, energy management, and best practices. </li> <li> Stay current with EV industry trends, government incentives, utility programs, and emerging technologies. </li> <li> Maintain project documentation, installation records, and customer reports. </li> <li> Support vendor evaluations and recommend charging hardware solutions. </li> <li> Collaborate with sales and business development teams on proposals and client presentations. </li> </ul> <h2>Required Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, or a related field. </li><li>7+ years of industry experience in auto/EV field</li> <li>3+ years of experience in EV charging infrastructure, electrical systems, energy management, or related industries. </li> <li> Understanding of EV charging standards including Level 2, DC Fast Charging, OCPP, and networked charging systems. </li> <li> Familiarity with electrical systems, load calculations, panel capacity, and utility coordination. </li> <li> Experience working with commercial or residential electrical installations. </li> <li> Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. </li> <li> Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities. </li> <li> Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. </li> <li> Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools. </li> <li> Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites when required. </li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li> Experience with EV charging manufacturers such as Tesla Wall Connector systems, ChargePoint, FLO, ABB, or Siemens charging platforms. </li> <li> Knowledge of C- Location Toronto, ON
