Responsibilities
Tasks

Administer programs related to scientific fields

Advise senior executives on environmental issues related to the company’s activities

Analyze the impacts, benefits and costs of transportation initiatives

Conduct research

Develop programs related to scientific fields

Evaluate the efficacy of air pollution control devices

Gather samples of dust, gases, mists or vapours

Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs

Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions

Report information to supervisor

Study and evaluate chemical or biological hazards and stresses in the workplace

Suggest changes to work processes based on chemical or biological stresses in the workplace

Establish internal programs within schools, business and industry to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
