Groupe Medway, a commercial real estate developer, announced that construction has begun on a medical complex with 9 floors and 136 housing units in downtown Rivière-du-Loup. The project, valued at more than $65M, is expected to be complete by 2025.

Yellowknife's Giant Mine Remediation Project is now pegged at a total cost of $4.38B, up from the initial estimate of $1B in 2010. To date, the remediation project has awarded 51% of the contracts to Indigenous contractors. The project is expected to complete in 2038 and the federal government is committed to maintain the site for 100 years.

The Government of Yukon's sixth intake of the Housing Initiatives Fund launched to support the construction of affordable housing in Yukon. To date, the Housing Initiative Fund has committed over $20M towards 47 housing projects and created 190 new homes.

The federal, provincial and municipal governments are providing $18M, $15M and $11M respectively for a new multi-purpose recreation facility in Martensville. The Awasis solar project, located just southeast of Regina on Cowessess First Nation reserve land, is now online. The $21M project will provide 10 megawatts of solar energy, which will be sold to SaskPower over the next 20 years. Kahkewistahaw First Nation recently celebrated the opening of the Kahkewistahaw Gas and Convenience Store. Located at Kahkewistahaw Landing in Saskatoon, the Kahkewistahaw First Nation is also planning to open 15 new buildings within the next five years, including a hotel and conference centre, office complex and a medical facility.
