Our actions in this regard have a positive impact on our communities and help to improve the everyday lives of New Brunswickers.The employees of EECD develop programs and offer services that support parents and educators and encourage learners to achieve lasting and transferable learning that will serve them throughout their lives.What you will do: Reporting to the Director of Finance and Services Branch, and in conjunction with various internal and external stakeholders at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, the chosen candidate will support the Francophone education system by: Supervising the development and allocation of budgets for the Francophone school districts and the Francophone sector. Acting as a resource person for the Francophone school districts and the Francophone branches of the Department to promote the efficient management of resources. Supervising the analysis of financial performance of the Francophone sector including Francophone school districts and educational services branches of the Department and recommending appropriate corrective measures. Participating, with the Francophone educational services sector, in the development of new Department initiatives and the analysis and formulation of new funding mechanisms that support the delivery of instruction to students in schools. Attending, as needed, negotiations and providing advice with respect to negotiations of collective agreements. Sitting on committees as assigned and participate in province-wide projects.Who you are:You have a strong desire to understand client needs and provide options for collaborative success. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:Need to have:University degree in Business Administration or a related field, and a CPA designation is required. A minimum of seven (7) years' combined experience in one or more of the following areas: financial management experience in a medium to large organization, government or within a public accounting firm. A minimum of two (2) years must be in management. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in French at a minimum of advanced level and spoken competence in English is required.
