Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities. Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers. Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products. Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals. Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff. Plan, develop and implement communication strategies. Plan and control budget and expenditures. Oversee the analysis of data and information. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Establish and implement policies and procedures. Direct committees and working groups working on projects and programs. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
