Position: School Psychologist <p>Location: Area 4 Office Cranberry Portage, Manitoba<p>Start Date: As soon as possible <p>FTE: 1.00 FTE <p>Term of Employment: Permanent<p>Application Deadline: Open Until FilledThe<p>Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits,<p>transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or<p>housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities,<p>annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and<p>more! <p>Reporting to the Area Superintendent, the School Psychologist works collaboratively with the Student Services Team, school personnel, parents and other clinical disciplines to provide a comprehensive range of psychological services to Nursery to Grade 12 students including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, consultation and recommendations.QUALIFICATIONS <p> Masters Degree in School Psychology with appropriate supervised clinical experience <p> Valid Manitoba School Psychologist Certificate (or eligibility for) <p> Successful completion of formal training in psycho-educational assessments<p> Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective organizational and computer skills; and the ability to meet multiple deadlines<p> Strong clinical skills and a broad knowledge base in child and adolescent development, cognitive processes, mental health, school and community systems, learning, and behaviour disorders<p> Experience working with students who have a broad range of exceptional needs.<p> Experience working with Indigenous communities and using culturally affirming approaches preferred<p> Training in Threat Assessment/Trauma Informed Care would be an asset<p> Valid Manitoba Drivers license and ability to travel. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will provide a broad range of school based psychological services including but not limited to: Conducts and interprets psychoeducational assessments of students related to learning, social, emotional and or behavioural difficulties<p> Works collaboratively with school staff and parents to identify and develop support for student needs<p> Participates in Student Support team meetings to provide recommendations related to learning strategies, interventions and/or specialized programming<p> Prepares and submits written reports in accordance with division timelines<p> Liaises with outside agencies to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to student planning and intervention<p> Forwards referrals to outside agencies in consultation with school personnel and/or the Student Services team <p> Works with the Student Services Team to facilitate professional learning for school staff and parents<p> Provides support with Threat Assessment, Crisis Response, and/or Tragic Events, as needed<p> Maintains confidentiality in accordance with professional guidelines.<p> Adheres to Frontier School Division policies. <p> Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of<p> three professional references including contact numbers, all of whom<p> must have knowledge of the applicants performance in the applicants<p> current or recent assignment Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
