Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Harvest crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Maintain livestock performance records. Track and report on current feed inventory .
