Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Clean bar area and wash glassware. Provide recommendations on drink selections. Operate cash register. Record and balance beverage sales. Store beverage and food products. Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations. Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Resolve conflict situations. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youths. Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Support for mature workers: Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers (for example: adjustable desks and chairs, accessible parking, etc.) .
