Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Aviation/aerospace manufacturing. General manufacturing. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Calibre. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Milling machines. Single purpose production machine. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
