Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private sector. Shipping company or agency. Tasks: Develop specific plans to prioritize. Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization. Prepare and submit reports. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Train workers in duties and policies. Co-ordinate, assign and review work. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Train staff. Review quotations. Provide clients with information. Ensure compliance with government regulations. Determine method of shipment. Arrange for billing for services. Keep track of shipments. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices. Provide customer service. Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods. Compile data to prepare documents . Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. MS Windows.
