Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Interview inmates to assess adjustment problems. Supervise support staff. Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Develop specialized rehabilitation programs. Perform administrative tasks. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders, establishing rules of conduct, goals and objectives. Advise and counsel inmates regarding their problems. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Implement substance abuse treatment programs. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Client focus. Team player.
