Education: College/CEGEP. Physical therapy/therapist. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Connect treatment machines to patients, as directed by chiropractor. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients.
