Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Consulting engineering company. Manufacture. Tasks: Design manufacturing systems to optimize the use of computer networks, robots and materials. Draw facility's building, equipment and major components. Find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes. Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures. Analyze costs of production. Design and conduct time studies and work simplification programs. Conduct studies on the reliability and performance of plant facilities. Assess industrial facilities. Establish programs and conduct studies to enhance industrial health and safety or to identify and correct fire and other hazards. Supervision: Working groups. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Outlook. SolidWorks software. MS Word. Area of work experience: Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities. Project management. Project planning. Quality assurance or control. Research and development. Lean Manufacturing. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
