Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Water and waste treatment utilities. Tasks: Analyze test results and instrument readings. Complete and maintain plant logs and reports. Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water. Send invoices. Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses. Plan and control budget and expenditures. Maintain inventory of supplies. Resolve conflict situations. Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers. Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls. Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence. Monitor and evaluate. Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions.
