Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Confined spaces. Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Work setting: Factory or plant. Service. Repair. Maintenance. Machine set-up. Machinery installation. Overhaul. Tasks: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Work with minimal supervision. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Installing machinery and equipment. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
