Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Specialization or experience: Eavestroughing and flashing. Area of specialization: Shingled roofs. Conventional and inverted built-up system. Modified roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Tiled roofs. Skylights. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player.
