Education: Bachelor's degree. Environmental studies. Occupational health and industrial hygiene. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Underground. Work setting: Rural area. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention.. Direct staff. Motivate staff. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Train staff. Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment. Establish and implement policies and procedures. Collect samples of materials for analysis. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Advise senior management. Respond to employee questions and complaints. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants. Conduct performance reviews. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Water wastewater operator Certification. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access. MS Outlook. MS Windows. MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD). Industrial processes and biological studies: Industrial health and safety. Type of inspection and investigation: Sanitary conditions. Workplace. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication.
