NB Social Pediatrics is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Special Events Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of our capstone fundraiser?a regional spelling bee?while supporting additional summer events. This role involves event logistics, promotion, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and community engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Securing sponsors for our capstone fundraiser
* Developing marketing campaigns
* Content creation for social media
* Managing event communications
* Ensuring seamless event execution
* Assisting with other fundraising initiatives
* Representing the organization at community events
* Providing administrative support
* Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in fundraising, securing sponsorships, content creation (particularly reels) for social media, and engaging with community partners, media, and donors. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential. Experience in event planning, marketing, or volunteer coordination is an asset.

*Important Note: *This is a 12-week summer position funded by NBSEED, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and other funding. A student is eligible to apply for a SEED funded position if they are:
* a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
* eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
* not an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
* a full-time student (high school - grade 12 only, university or college) in the current academic year, and
* attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2025 (university or college).
