Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious cakes for our customers. If you have a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities: * Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders * Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies * Bake mixed dough and batters * Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food * Prepare special orders * Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff * Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods * Draw up production schedules * Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards * Operate machinery * Organize and maintain inventory * Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Skills: - Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Experience in food preparation, preferably in a restaurant or bakery setting - Ability to package cakes for transport or display - Familiarity with the food industry and current trends in cake decorating - Proficient in baking techniques and able to follow recipes accurately - Excellent attention to detail and artistic skills for cake decoration - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively - Strong communication and customer service skills - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Experience * 1 year to less than 2 years Education * College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
