*Green Works Contracting* is seeking a *passionate and knowledgeable Horticulturist / Master Gardener* to enhance and maintain beautiful landscapes. If you have a deep understanding of plant care, landscape design, and sustainable gardening practices, we want you on our team! This role involves overseeing plant health, providing expert guidance, and working closely with clients and team members to create beautiful thriving outdoor spaces. *Key Responsibilities:* * Operate a F550 and 20' trailer, preferred. * Gather and prep all crew, materials, tools and equipment for the days project. * Manage and motivate crew members and provide training, guidance and direction. * Plant Selection & Care: Identify, select, and maintain a variety of plant species to ensure healthy and vibrant landscapes. * Garden Design & Planning: Assist in designing and implementing garden layouts with an emphasis on aesthetics, sustainability, and seasonal changes. * Pest & Disease Management: Monitor plant health and implement organic or chemical solutions to control pests and diseases. * Soil & Fertilization Management: Conduct soil assessments and recommend proper fertilization and amendments to promote plant growth. * Irrigation & Water Management: Oversee proper watering techniques, and drought-resistant strategies. * Pruning & Maintenance: Perform and oversee pruning, trimming, and general upkeep of gardens and plant beds. * Team Training & Support: Educate and mentor crew members on best horticultural practices. * Sustainability & Native Plant Expertise: Promote the use of native and eco-friendly plant choices for sustainable landscapes. *Requirements:* * *Experience:* Minimum 3 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or garden maintenance. * *Education:* Degree or certification in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Design, or a related field, preferred. * *Skills:* * Extensive knowledge of plant species, soil health, pest control, and garden maintenance. * Ability to design and implement aesthetic and functional plant arrangements. * Valid Class G driver?s license with a clean driving record. * 20' trailer hauling experience, preferred. * Experience operating gardening tools and light landscaping equipment. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. * Ability to lift a minimum of 30lb. *Why Work With Green Works Contracting?* At *Green Works Contracting*, we recognize that skilled and passionate gardeners are the foundation of creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces.
