Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Underground. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Industrial. Commercial. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Perform routine maintenance work. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Dig ditches and trenches. Work with minimal supervision. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Responsibilities
Tasks
