*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team! In this role, you will work closely with clients to assess, diagnose and treat speech, literacy, language and communication in the comfort of their homes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our paediatric clientele.
*Responsibilities*
* Consultation, screening, and evidence based assessment and treatment of communication disorders
* Design a treatment plan using SMART goals, evidence-based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise
* Provide client and family centred intervention by building strong rapport with caregivers, with ongoing training and education
* Monitor client progress towards goal attainment and have the agility to adjust treatment plans according to changing needs
* Collaborate with colleagues within and across professions
* Supervision of CDA's on a weekly or biweekly basis
* Manage own caseload and maintain complete records of therapy using our electronic charting system, in accordance with CASLPO regulations
*Skills*
* Proficiency in working with paediatric populations is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
* Strong case management skills to oversee patient care effectively.
* Excellent patient care abilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Ability to build rapport and work well with children with various needs.
*Qualifications*
* Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences and Disorders
* Registration in good standing with CASLPO
* Professional Liability Insurance
* Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening
