*Job Overview*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills to ensure the integrity of financial data.
*Responsibilities*
* Process bookkeeping, journal entries accurately and timely.
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
* Assist with account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
* Prepare financial reports as needed, including budgeting and forecasting.
* Support payroll processing using systems such as QuickBooks.
* Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare or similar tools for efficient record-keeping.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documentation as required.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role in financial services.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Case Ware) is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members.
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
