As a multi-service organization, we operate an Acute Care Hospital, Long Term Care Home, and Drug & Alcohol Treatment Centre, committed to evolving with the needs of our community. *Summary* We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to join our team at St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. *Responsibilities* * Knowledge of and commitment to SJGHEL?s Mission, Vision, and Core Values: Compassion, Humility & Harmony, Respect, Integrity, Social Responsibility, and the Sacredness of Life. * Familiarity with and adherence to Infection Control, Health and Safety protocols, and hospital policies and procedures. * Skilled in performing a full range of environmental cleaning tasks, including washing walls, ceilings, lights, vents, carpets, and upholstered furniture in all hospital areas, including the Manor and Oaks Treatment Centre. * Ability to floor maintenance procedures such as mopping, stripping, refinishing, and buffing using various equipment (e.g., scrubbers, polishers, auto scrubbers, wet vacuums). * Capable of using and maintaining housekeeping equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, in accordance with departmental procedures and manufacturer guidelines. * Physically able to meet job demands (e.g., prolonged standing, lifting, crouching, ladder use) and work a variety of shifts, including weekends. * Proactive in identifying and reporting hazards or incidents through the RL6 reporting system. *Requirements* * Secondary School Diploma * Previous experience in a healthcare or LTC setting *Assets* * Preference will be given to candidates who possess current certification through Central Service Association of Ontario (CSAO) or Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO) * Bilingualism is an asset *Benefits* * General: Employee Assistance Program * Part-Time: 14% of wage in lieu of benefits; Eligible to enroll in HOOPP Pension Plan If you are passionate about maintaining a clean environment that supports patient care, we invite you to apply for the Housekeeping Aide position at St. Joseph's General Hospital Elliot Lake today!
