Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Residential. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Construction specialization: Retaining walls. Area of specialization: Siding. Millwork. Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings. Kitchen cabinets and vanities. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Judgement. Reliability.
