*Position Summary:*
HCR requires Part-Time Accounting Assistant at our client in Brampton at major Intersection Torbram & Steeles.
The accounting assistant will be responsible for
* Managing various accounting tasks
* Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
* Supporting the overall financial operations of the company
*Term Required:* 6 months
*Hourly Rate:* $25?$30, based on experience
*Days Expected in the Office:* 2-3 days per week
*Major Responsibilities*
* Prepares and maintains financial records including general ledger entries, fully cycle accounts payable and receivable, intercompany reconciliations
* Performs reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Supports the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
* Participate in the development and implementation of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Assist finance manager & controller in analyzing financial data and other special projects
* Other tasks as required

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to promote teamwork and creativity in the workplace.
* Possess initiative and willingness to learn.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to appreciate and maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality.
* Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
* Demonstrate the ability to understand simple and complex math calculations.
*Qualifications*
Education and experience - Accounting Diploma/Degree, or with relevant accounting experience
Other Experience Preferred - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Sage 300 would be an asset but not mandatory.
