Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Construction. Service. Repair. Various locations. Maintenance. Commercial. Residential. Installation. Tasks: Install electrical controls and panel boxes. Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes. Install underground wiring and cables. Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations. Splice, join and connect wires. Design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs. Estimate costs and materials. Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrician Trade Certification. Working at heights training. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices. Hand tools. HVAC. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
